The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is launching a recruitment drive to enhance the nursing and therapy teams which care for people in community hospitals and at home across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

The Trust is looking to attract experienced and newly-qualified nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to work across its acute and community services, which also span North Devon.

Lexicon Healthcare launched its flagship care home in Exeter on 13 November with a very special VIP in attendance, Angela Rippon OBE.

Grand opening for GP surgery

Councillor Susan Griggs, the Mayor of Tiverton, attended an evening event to celebrate the completion of the new £1.8m extension to Clare House Surgery located in Newport Street, Tiverton.

The substantial building programme which has significantly increased the size of the surgery was overseen by lead consultants Haldons Limited and built by contractors Morgan Sindall.

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust has won a national award for outstanding efficiency and improvement in developing community services.

The Trust’s stroke therapy team added to its growing trophy collection with victory at the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards on Tuesday night (23 September).

The team beat seven other finalists in the Value and Improvement in Community Health Service Redesign category.

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is in line for a prestigious national award for its work to promote the highest standards of patient safety and care.
