Seventy-five nights of happy holidays have been handed to NHS workers by Devon's Ladram Bay Holiday Park as a "thank you" for their dedication and bravery.

The family business said it wanted to give away a free night's stay for every one of the past 75 years it has been welcoming guests to its seaside park in Budleigh Salterton.

It means that when the park is allowed to re-open, NHS staff and their families will enjoy no-cost holidays both at Ladram Bay and its nearby sister park Castle Brake.

Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Devon has struck another blow against engine noise and air pollution by expanding its fleet of all-electric transport.

The family-run park, winner of the David Bellamy Conservation Award, has swapped two more of its fossil fuel vehicles in favour of the latest green technology.

It brings to five the number of electric run-arounds in use at Ladram Bay in Budleigh Salterton, and at its sister-park Castle Brake in Woodbury, near Exeter.

Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Budleigh Salterton has helped fly the flag for medical research by backing a recent charity fundraising expedition to the South Pole in Antarctica.

Ladram Bay Holiday Park is set to sink around £300,000 into an ambitious new green energy project – with the benefits being felt by both guests and the environment.

The family-owned park in will install a state-of-the-art solar energy system across various buildings in its grounds this winter.

Energy experts forecast that after the work is completed, Ladram Bay will be preventing a massive 171 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually from entering the atmosphere.
