Exeter restaurant and live entertainment venue, Casa Maroc will be raising funds for the International Citizen Service charity this autumn with two lively party functions on Friday 5th and Saturday 20th September.

Entertainment will include a stand-up routine from local comedian...
The Cut Purse Rascals’ distinct sound is firmly rooted in the late 60s / early 70s. They deliver a luscious blend of four part vocal harmonies that work between acoustic rhythm guitar and vintage telecaster lead guitar. The Rascals take the Westcountry as their musical canvas and they pen narratives about the people and places this rich landscape has to offer. Their songs are laden with catchy hooks and choruses that have people singing along after just one listen. Strong musical influences include The Band and Crosby Stills & Nash, as well as contemporary...
Formed out of a desire to create music to restore the credibility of female artists that has been destroyed by the relentless bombardment of TV 'talent' shows, Exeter-based, all-girl acoustic trio, Sound of The Sirens, “provide some of the most amazing vocal harmonies I have ever heard, and quite possibly ever will hear.” (Keith’s reviews).
“Their music may be heavily influenced by folk, but their vocal interplay takes its cue from the soul stylings of superstars Destiny's Child and En Vogue.” (Coventry Telegraph).
"Really upbeat and kinda a lot of fun. Another talented Totnes band." BBC Introducing Devon
"Just to demonstrate the versatility of this guy – I still can’t quite believe how good they are." FolkRise
"Your music is great. The harmonies in “When We Wake in the Morning” are spot on and you can’t go wrong with the banjo. I really like your flavor, it’s very Sufjan Stevens with a little Belle and Sebastian." RumbleFish
"There is a fabulous sound about you. You come in cool as cucumber and once...
"How one man can sit on stage with one guitar and create such fantastic live music is astonishing!" The Weekender Review (November 2011)
"Adam Sweet is one of those genuinely engaging performers who, with just his voice and guitar, makes rock and blues music talk across the ages. He is surely destined for far bigger things, and like all great young blues performers, sings with a maturity and power well beyond his years." The Keynsham Music Festival Association (June 2013)
"Adam Sweet is busy forging himself a reputation as a...
The O'Marleys play traditional Irish and Celtic music with the addition of jazz and reggae lilts. Taking songs from The Dubliners, The Pogues and the whole Irish tradition, they whip up a storm of an evening with dances, tunes and songs that anyone can join in with. The menu is fun, fun, and more fun, followed by... even more fun.
Featuring Mac Moulton on the fiddle, John Fitzsimons on guitar and James King on the Irish drum (bodhran) they all sing, creating a hefty blend of voices over the music. Guaranteed to warm hearts and set feet tapping....
A message from Jess: "There is a lot of music out there. We are exposed to thousands of people singing at us every single day. Talent shows and youtube feed our society images of pretty little girls screeching impressively high notes, and sweet little wide eyed boys playing 5 instruments at once, all bleating out Adele and Michael Jackson covers. Amazing.
I do not sing, write or play to impress or astound. I am readily aware that there is nothing I can do that someone else can't do better: scales, arpeggios, playing Rachmaninov on a Steinway on top...
Three separate sets from the wonderful Dave Wood & friends...
A solo set by Dave will be followed by a duet with the marvellous Claire Anstee on flute and accompanying vocals, under the moniker "Pair O' Dice Found". The evening will then be topped off with a headline set by Dave's much-loved and recently resurrected band, Rifiki.
Dave Wood is highly regarded for his ability to re-interpret traditional songs and tunes as well as classics from The Beatles and Motown era. His own songs are particularly popular and his song May the Kindness has been...
Mudskippers are an acoustic trio from Exeter consisting of cello, clarinet and acoustic guitar. Their beautifully rich songs are influenced by modern English folk legends and effectively blend a range of different styles and genres, including indie, latin, progressive rock and world music. Mudskippers play their own compositions with the occasional cover by the likes of Roy Harper & Nick Drake.
Mudskippers originally formed in 1991 and split in 1994. A chance meeting between Bully (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Jo Hooper (cello) in 2010 led to a rekindling of their musical...
