The 11th Lapstock Music at the Mill festival last weekend was heralded a resounding success by organisers despite torrential rain on the Saturday evening.
1600 festival goers descended on the mid-Devon village of Lapford and defied the weather to hear some 30 acts over two nights including a free session for new and undiscovered local talent on the Friday night.
London based Tankus the Henge headlined the event fresh from playing Glastonbury and stole the show with a magnificent set amid the Saturday evening in the rain.
Northern soul is a music and dance movement that emerged in Northern England in the late 1960s from the British mod scene as a particular style of black American soul music based on the heavy beat and fast tempo of the mid-1960s Tamla Motown sound.
Great news ! For the first time for 2017 we will be adding a second room covering Modern Crossover soul , underplayed Northern and 70s to give you a great choice of music over 2 rooms.
