Performance was conceived early in 2012 as British excitement grew in anticipation of hosting the Olympics. Local sporting events were photographed as communities played their part in preparing for the Games. Other photographers concentrated on artistic events, from dance and theatre to street performance and music. This exhibition highlights the transitory nature of action-orientated photography

A group of dedicated young people, the Macula Collective, have been out in all weathers, all through the winter capturing images of Heavitree Pleasure Grounds - IN THE DARK! This project was commissioned by the people of Heavitree themselves as part of the Heavitree Squilometre project and we're pleased present the results of this youth-focused work in a pop-up Exhibition in Heavitree Park.
The Exhibition will also include images from other memory and reminiscence work from other members of the Heavitree Community who were keen to share what the Park means to them.
This is a collaborative exhibition with The Photographic Angle and PhotoVoice. It offers an extraordinary insight into the lives of people from many 'voiceless' communities around the world. Images on display come from 4 collections ‘See It Our Way’, ‘How We See It’, ‘Lookout London’ and ‘Sights Unseen’. All work submitted by PhotoVoice.

This exhibition features the work of 19 photographers who have been moved by our beautiful world enough to document it in all its glory. Some have chosen to focus on the physical landscape, some on the animal world, others have taken nature as their inspiration, whilst some have chosen the beauty of people. What they all have in common is a unique and touching interpretation of the beauty they perceive in the world.
