Stagecoach South West introduces timetable changes across the network

This May local bus operator Stagecoach South West are introducing some changes to timetables across their regional bus network.

As we move into the Summer, some areas across Devon will see timetables benefit from enhancements to better reflect the seasonal demand.

In partnership with Plymouth City Council and thanks to BSIP+ funding Service 2 will see the frequency of buses increased across the week.

Some timetables will also see intermediate running times revised on all days of operation to improve reliability and punctuality.

South West universities join forces for new regional think tank

The universities of Exeter, Plymouth and Falmouth have joined forces to launch a new initiative that will harness the region’s academic and research expertise to improve people’s lives, empower communities and drive the economy across the peninsula and with UK benefits.

The Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) Christmas Appeal is well underway, receiving a fantastic response so far.

Over £50,000 has been donated since the appeal launched in November to ensure that DAA’s crews remain fully stocked with everything they need for the winter months ahead.

For each of the incident's crews respond to, clinicians quickly work through the contents of their lifesaving critical care kits, which are stocked with essential medical supplies and equipment.

Regional jobs boost as Devon-based Supacat secures major MOD contract

Devon-based Supacat has today confirmed receipt from UK MOD of an order on behalf of the British Army for 70 High Mobility Transporters (HMT 400 series), to be manufactured in collaboration with major defence engineering contractor Babcock International Group plc through its facility in Devonport.
