Spring has arrived at RHS Rosemoor, signalled by the appearance of large drifts of delicate snowdrops throughout the gorgeous gardens. In celebration, you can join an expert on a special walk every day at noon from 1–11 February . Booking is not required but places are limited and are offered on a first-come basis.

Before you know it the school holidays will be upon us – but have no fear, there is plenty of February Half Term fun planned for families to enjoy, no matter what the weather!

The Garden House in Buckland Monachorum is to offer members of the community a chance to enjoy one of nature’s most spectacular displays of snowdrops at their world famous Snowdrop Festival - which starts on Friday 15 January - providing, it’s hoped, a welcome relief from lockdown.

Visitors will be able to take gentle exercise in the gardens, exploring the stunning displays of snowdrops, which are bigger than ever this year, in a covid secure, socially distanced manner.

Excited snowdrop enthusiasts are travelling across the UK to an exquisite corner of Devon to see one of the best collections of snowdrops in the world burst into fragrance and colour.

The world renowned Matt Bishop Snowdrop Collection, one of the most diverse collections of named and naturalised snowdrops in the UK, is in full bloom at The Garden House, one of the finest gardens in England.

RAFPA South West branch calls for new members

The South West Branch of the RAF Police Association are calling for new members.

They meet every two months at The Hunting Lodge near Ivybridge on the first Wednesday of alternate months at 11.30am. Meetings are followed by lunch.

The next meeting is taking place on Wednesday 4 June.

Several members also take part in the Cenotaph parade on Remembrance Sunday in London, joining several dozen others from all over the country, with one or two travelling across the pond. Members also attend parades, when their standard is carried, and always meet for Christmas lunch....
