A chance for young athletes from all sports to get expert advice locally.
Excelsior will be providing four workshops in the afternoon for athletes from 13-19 years old who are interested in getting better for their sport.
It will include:
Physical competency assessment.
Eating in the real world.
Agility progressions.
How to get fit in 30 minutes.
The young athlete must be injury free and currently playing more than one sport. Parents and coaches are welcome to come along and observe and ask questions.
There seems to be a fair bit of chat around these days about the pros and cons of training multiple times a day. One camp saying that multiple times a day training is an excellent method of improving performance, physique and such like, while the other camp say that it will lead to poor results, reduced ability and fatigue. So here are some thoughts, observations, experience and the occasional, fact as I see it.
