Explosion at Syrian University kills 15 civilians

Syrian State media reported that there are casualties after an explosion at the main university in Aleppo.

"15 civilians killed and dozens injured by two explosions that shook the area in between the University Residence and the Architecture Building in the southern part of the Aleppo University. The cause of these explosions is yet unknown" said the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights.

Activists say that Syrian jets bombarded the University, however the Syrian government claims that the explosion was a "terrorist attack". (NewsPoint)

UK Govt recognises sole legitimate reps of Syrian people

(NewsPoint) –As humanitarian assistance grows, the UK government has confirmed that it has recognised the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces after it was established in Doha on 11th November. With Britain pledging more aid, and an invite to the Coalition to appoint a political representative to the UK, Foreign Secretary William Hague confirmed a £1 million package of communication support will be provided.

Blasts hit SaadAllah al Jabiri Square in Aleppo, 48 killed

Several explosions rocked the centre of Aleppo on Wednesday, Syria's largest metropolis, killing at least 48 people and injuring close to a hundred, the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

The blasts hit SaadAllah al Jabiri Square, Aleppo's main square, which is located in a government-controlled district.

Most of victims of today’s bombings are reported to have been regime troops. A military officers' club and a hotel, both located in the square, were almost completely destroyed by the blasts...
