Hundred of reservations were cancelled at the Mill on the Exe after the pub was deluged by water.

At Cowley the river had burst its banks and the normally gently flowing water was cascading under the bridge.

Caravans and campervans increasingly resemble a home away from home and it can be easy to forget about the potential fire risks, especially when you’re busy enjoying some time out.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service remind you that having a working smoke alarm in your caravan dwelling, is just as important as the one in your home. It needs to be tested frequently to check it works.

In a fire, caravans and campervans have limited escape options in fire and being made of lightweight and highly combustible fittings, fires can take off frightenly fast. You would...

PILGRIM HOTEL - Getaway to Hereford on a short country break

The City of Hereford is situated between the Black Mountains and the Malvern Hills with the River Wye meandering through the city, Hereford has many wonderful walks to enjoy. LOCATION The Pilgrim Hotel where I recently enjoyed a 2 night break, is located in the quiet village of Much Birch between Hereford and Ross on Wye. A really rural...
