The thrill of Speed - but only at 100 miles per hour

It’s only been nine months since Holiday On Ice was last at Westpoint with Robin Cousins‘ excellent Tropicana , but given the reception the latest spectacular, Speed , received last night, it has lost none of its appeal for Exeter audiences.

Much has been made in pre-publicity about the use of motorbikes in the show, so we went expecting a full-on evening of leather and two-stroke oil on ice - what we got was something completely different.

Speed is merely a premise around which the show is choreographed: each half has five distinctly separate pieces - Speed of Love,...

What a great night we had on 5th November, courtesy of The Exeter Daily. I just can't believe how much money must have been spent on the fireworks, the pictures on this site are great but don't do the event full justice. The display went on for ages and the fireworks were spectacular from start to finish, towards the end it was mind-blowing with lots all being set off at the same time and merging together in the cold night sky. Great that it was a clear night, even though very cold.

Thank you Round Table, well worth a visit and I will be coming again next year !

2012 Round Table Fireworks Display wows the crowds

Westpoint Arena was heaving last night for the Round Table's annual Fireworks Display, which raises money for local good causes. And the crowds were not disappointed. This spectacular event has grown to become the biggest fireworks display in Exeter, and taken on a new dimension since moving to Westpoint three years ago.

Blessed with a clear night, everyone was dressed for the cold, but warmed by the atmosphere. From the food stalls to the fairground, this had all the ingredients of a recipe for success. However, naturally it was the explosive fireworks display...

Exeter Round Table’s Annual charity fireworks display is being held at Westpoint again this year.

This spectacular event has grown to become the biggest fireworks display in Exeter, and taken on a new dimension since moving to Westpoint three years ago.

Expect a great fun night out for everyone with fairground rides, food and drink stalls and of course a spectacular fireworks display by Firemagic (UK) Ltd.

Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks display starts at 7.30pm.

Please plan to arrive on site by 6.45pm at the latest, to allow time...

Guinness World Record for the Largest Cream Tea Party is smashed right here in Exeter!

The BIG Cake Show, joined by charity partner Sparks, Glenn Cosby, Peter Gorton and over 450 cream tea lovers from across the South West, smashed the current cream tea party record.

South West Spring Quilt Festival

This is a great opportunity for all quilting enthusiasts.

Move it, move it to Madagascar Live at Westpoint - review

I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it.

Yes, it's that incredibly catchy song from Madagascar which got the younger half of the audience at Westpoint this evening up on their feet and dancing round in front of the stage, while the older members looked on enviously at their lack of self-consciousness and simply tapped their toes, rather than wiggling along too.
