Hounds First Sighthound Recue will be holding a Family Dog Show at Westpoint in Exeter on Saturday (25 April 2015) from 10am-5pm. Showing is from11am.

Hounds First Sighthound Recue have been chosen one of a small number of charities to hold an event after entering a competition to mark Westpoint’s 25th anniversary.

Westcountry icons The Wurzels will be performing at the Devon County Show for the first time, entertaining exhibitors and invited guests at an exclusive event on the first day of the show.

Leading Devon law firm Stephens Scown LLP has teamed up with the Devon County Show to bring The Wurzels to the Westpoint showground. The four-piece group will be playing its famous hits including Combine Harvester and I am a Cider Drinker at an exclusive event for livestock exhibitors and invited guests on 21 May.

Exeter women urged to get pretty muddy

Exeter charity workers are urging women to fight dirty when it comes to conquering cancer - by signing up now for an exciting new event from Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

Ruth Chamings, 28, who manages Exeter Race for Life and volunteer Maxine Bateman, 28, (pictured) stood proud together, donned in mud war paint and battle headdress to beckon ladies of the city to join them.

Pretty Muddy is a women-only, non-competitive 5k obstacle course – with added mud. It will take place for the first time in the city at Westpoint Exeter on Saturday, July 25.

The first ever Renewable Energy Bake Off is being held to celebrate renewable energy and delicious baked goods. The event takes place as part of Renewable Energy Marketplace, the largest energy event in the south west.

Tickets are now on sale for the biggest annual event in Devon.

The Devon County Show on May 21st, 22nd and 23rd will be packed with people, animals, competitions and entertainment.

Show Secretary, Ollie Allen said they were getting ready to serve up ‘a giant slice of Devon country life’.
