Honiton Tae Kwon Do student Oliver Buss achieved his First Degree black belt after being put through his paces at the Headquarters of the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) in Bristol.
Oliver had to show his skill in front of the TAGB board of grading examiners, all of whom are 8th Degree Black Belts with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the martial art.

At the South West Championships, Ben Snaith continued his medal success by winning gold in Boys Blue and Red Belt Heavyweight Sparring and becoming South West Champion. Roxy Spiller won gold in Girls Blue Belt Patterns, adding South West Champion to her list of titles. Roxy also obtained silver in her sparring division, narrowly missing out on becoming a double champion.
Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, a 7th degree black belt, who runs martial arts schools in Exeter, has received a prestigious martial arts award and has been inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Fiddes, 35, is the youngest person to ever have been awarded a Martial Arts Superstar award currently run by the renowned magazine, Martial Arts Illustrated.
