Having smashed its Crowdfunder target earlier this year, Hell's Bells, made by Exeter based film and theatre company Wandering Tiger, will receive a local screening on Friday 2 December 2016 at Exeter Phoenix as part of the Two Short Nights film festival.
For those who can't wait that long, Halloween will also see the release of a special Hell's Bells trailer via Wandering Tiger's website and social media. Made with the support of Creative England via the BFI NET.WORK, the film tells the story of a young woman who has been brainwashed by a secret society of Morris dancers.
As Morris Dancing sides around the country wrap up their summer schedule and open up their practice evenings to novices, the men of Exeter Morris and the women of Glory of the West are inviting anyone who has ever enjoyed watching Morris Dancers to come along and try it out for themselves.

Exeter Morris Men are recruiting and invite anyone who has ever enjoyed watching Morris dancers to have a go themselves. An Open Evening is being held at Ide Memorial Hall at 8pm on Thursday 3 October and everyone is welcome. Now the dancing season has come to an end, the search is on to find new members to add to the team and Exeter Morris would be especially interested to hear from younger dancers. Exeter-based Great Western Morris have been asked to host the 2013 Joint UK Morris Organisations’ national day of dance.
Teams and dancers from all over the country will be coming to Exeter on Saturday 20 April 2013.
"It’s sure to be a fantastic day," says Great Western’s ‘Squire’ Quinton Cumbes. "We’ll have examples of traditional dance styles from all over the country, performed by youth teams, not so young teams, and anything in between."
