‘Lockdown Legends’ – the people of Devon who went that extra mile to help out during COVID-19 – are still being sought for a photographic exhibition in Exeter.
Nominations for the exhibition at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery close this Sunday (19 July), so don’t miss the chance to feature in this historic event.
Organisers have stressed that teams can be nominated. However because of the subject matter and social distancing, people are being asked to use just one person to represent the team in the nomination.

Joining the Ramblers, Great Britain’s largest walking community, gives walk lovers access to all-year-round support, advice and inspiration – online, via social media, and through a quarterly magazine. This is great news for the 74% of Britons who said...
The latest section of one of Devon County Council’s main cross-city walking and cycling routes has been completed.
The stretch of the E4 route from Pinhoe Road to Exhibition Way is now open, connecting it to the first phase of the route on Cumberland Way and onto Redhayes Bridge over the M5 to connect with the east of Exeter.
These most recent improvements have widened existing shared paths along Pinhoe Road and include priority crossings. A two-way cycle route, with a ‘buffer’ zone segregating cyclists from the road, has also been developed along part of Exhibition Way...

Exeter needs more space for walking and cycling, not cars.
We need a Green Recovery from the covid-19 crisis, including massive investment in walking, cycling and public transport infrastructure. The government’s decision to spend £27 billion on new road building is now clearly out of date - social distancing measures mean that we need more space for people to walk and cycle safely. Cities across the world, including Athens, Paris and Bristol, have recently announced plans to cut traffic, and pedestrianise areas of the city centre. Let’s do this here in Exeter as well. Exeter...
The forward-thinking of Exeter Chiefs Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, has today hit a new level with confirmation that he has signed 30 of his senior squad to new long-term deals at Sandy Park.
With Premiership Rugby clubs agreeing last month to cut the salary cap by £1.4m from the 2021/22 season, Baxter and the Chiefs management wasted little time in securing the future of their crown jewels, including the likes of Stuart Hogg, Jack Nowell, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Henry Slade and the Simmonds brothers, Joe and Sam.
It’s a huge statement of intent from the Devon club and...
