She’s a no-nonsense enforcer whose job often involves keeping up to 30 testosterone-fuelled men in check and so it’s music to my ears when she says it’s okay to have an off day.

Exeter's Sara Cox is the only woman qualified to referee a Premiership Rugby match and she is quickly making a name for herself in the sport.

I caught up with her for an Astley Media #projectpositivity In Conversation With and found her in high spirits, despite, like most of us, being confined to home.

The Exeter Chiefs squad were all smiles as they lined up for their first team picture of the 2016/17 season.

England star Jack Nowell and his fellow players laughed and joked in the sunshine during their annual media day.

Exeter City to remember players killed in Somme

Exeter City Football Club will be remembering four former players who died during the Battle of the Somme at a special ceremony to be held at their St James Park war memorial.

The memorial service, in partnership with the Royal British Legion, will take place at 2pm on Friday 1 July. This is the exact centenary of the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Until 2nd November, AEG is giving Rugby Club Youth Sections (Junior and Mini teams) in England, Scotland and Wales the chance to win one of twenty sets of Canterbury kit (shirts, socks, water bottles and boot bags) as well as 20 Canterbury balls and 2 ball bags for their club.

Honour for Exeter School athletes

Two of Exeter School’s hockey athletes have been selected to attend the National Age Group Academy in Taunton.

Lower Sixth Formers Abby Pelling and Tom Edgington will train with a group of U17 players, alongside local England U18s and U16s.

Exeter Rugby Club are hoping that Chiefs supporters and the local community can help them in their quest to find out more about the brave former players who gave their lives during World War One.

Exeter Soccer Sixes in search of new teams to join them for the new season

Exeter Soccer Sixes start their brand new season on Wednesday 6 November at St Luke's Science and Sports College in Exeter.

Their six-a-side outdoor league runs every Wednesday between 8pm and 10pm and they are are looking for new teams to join them for the forthcoming season.

Teams can be made up from work colleagues, friends and family, drinking buddies or even from your 11-a-side Saturday or Sunday teams.

Exeter City celebrate role of women and girls in football

Exeter City FC will be celebrating the role of women and girls in football at its specially designated One Game One Community (OGOC) home game against Burton Albion (Saturday 26 October).

Each season the Supporters’ Trust-backed Exeter City OGOC group organise a match with an equality and diversity theme. Previous events have put the spotlight on issues including racism, homophobia and disability. This year the focus is on promoting female participation in football.
