A campaign has been launched by Simon Jupp, MP for East Devon, and Topsham’s Councillors to call for the former fire station in the town to be returned to the community.

Located on Fore Street, the iconic building will soon be put up for sale by Devon and Somerset’s Fire and Rescue Service.

The former Fire Station closed last year with Topsham’s Firefighters being relocated to the Service HQ at Clyst St George.

A new scheme to offer free instrumental lessons is being offered to all Exeter Junior School pupils entering Year 3.

New research by the Centre for Ageing Better and the Institute for Employment Studies has highlighted the challenges faced by employees with long-term health conditions, warning that more support is needed to help people manage their conditions in the workplace if the state pension is to rise further. On Wednesday Tuesday 22nd June, renowned horticulturalist and RHS judge Jim Buttress visited Millbrook Village to give an expert talk and judge a resident gardening competition.

The two businesses have struck a deal for three flavours of Burts’ crisps to be sold in more than 60 stores across the West Country – from Yeovil to Ilfracombe and Gloucester to Helston.
