Devon residents can make big savings to both their pockets and bin waste this Christmas and have the chance to win one of twenty festive hampers filled with local produce. Until midnight Friday December 20 Recycle Devon is running '20 Days of Christmas', sharing a range of tips and ideas each day to help families keep waste and costs to a minimum. Local bus operator Stagecoach South West is working in partnership with InExeter, the business improvement districts to offer one lucky family a fabulous festive giveaway.

Rob Baxter has warned his Exeter Chiefs side to be wary of a ‘wounded animal’ ahead of tomorrow’s visit off Bath Rugby to Sandy Park in Round Two of the Gallagher Premiership (5:30pm).

Barratt Developments delivers £87m boost to economy in Devon and Cornwall

Leading housebuilder Barratt Developments - which owns both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes - has delivered a £87 million boost to the local economy in Devon, Cornwall and the surrounding region over the past year.

During that period, the group built 383 new homes, including 85 affordable, and supported 1,360 jobs in the area. The company's construction work has also supported 570 supplier and sub-contractor businesses and provided 25 places for graduates, trainees and apprentices.

On Saturday 12 December (6pm GMT) the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) will be hosting an online, free joint Christmas Carol Service together with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM).

CCT cares for 356 historic churches in England, with ten in Devon; which include the thousand year old St Martin’s Church in the heart of Exeter and the elegant Holy Trinity Church located in the Torbryan countryside.
