Exeter Historic Buildings Trust - Open Days
Exeter Historic Building Trust presents a unique opportunity to view up close and actually touch the 15th century oak-beamed, arch-beamed, arch-braced roof of the refectory of the Benedictine Priory of St Nicholas. This wing of St Nicholas Priory is open to the public on only a few days each year in May, September and this year for the first time, December.
Apart from viewing the 2nd floor roof-space, there will be stewards on hand to answer any questions about the building. There will also be guided tours throughout the day to see the 15th century Priory's apartment, including the bedroom and sitting room. but this room restored to show how it was in the Georgian period. The cloister garden has been planted in the medieval style.
Free admission, open 11am-4pm both days.
