Exeter Racecourse Family Day
Tractor Ted, the well-known children’s character, will be making his first ever appearance at Exeter’s family day on Tuesday, April 15.
As well as Tractor Ted and his bouncy castle, children will be given the opportunity to get to know horse racing when a host of activities including a behind the scenes tour, a running race down the home straight plus the ever popular question and answer and autograph session with top jockeys. Children can also ride on the Equicizer, a mechanical horse, to get a feel of what it’s like to be a jockey, take part in a quiz, pet some farm animals, investigate the RSPB’s interactive stand, meet Korakor the retired racehorse and learn all about which bones jockeys break the most.
Add to this two pony races and six horse races and it’s an Easter treat not to be missed. Free to children aged 17 and under, Family Day is widely regarded as one of the best days out in Devon during the Easter holidays and this year there really is something for everyone.
