Exeter Pride 2016
Exeter Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ communities and diversity within Exeter and the surrounding area. We are delighted that Exeter Pride is returning for its 8th year and this year will be bigger and brighter than ever before!
The parade starts at 12noon from St Sidwell’s Centre, Sidwell Street and will feature favourites and new acts for this year, such as; Street Heat, a fire engine, a pink double decker bus, circus performers and many more! We will of course, see the return of our infamous 50m rainbow flag. Gather from 11:30am at St Sidwell’s Centre to be a part of it.
Events at Exeter Phoenix begin at 1pm. Featuring workshops such as the ceilidh, drumming circle, a trans zone, self defence workshop, family and youth zones and a panel debate, there will be something for everyone.
Our evening entertainments are hosted by Anna Drenalin and it all kicks off with local acts, bands and a Kylie tribute. There will also be DJ’s playing in the bar area throughout the afternoon and into the early hours. You will need to purchase one of our wristband welcome packs to gain entry to the entertainments.
So come along, invite your friends, family and let’s celebrate our fabulous city and its diversity with a day of fun, music and laughs.
