Join Devon Wildlife Trust and the University of Exeter on the Streatham Campus on Saturday 22 June for a fun family day out to discover a wealth of wildlife.

The event is being run in partnership between Devon Wildlife Trust and the University of Exeter as part of the Festival of Ecology which forms part of the British Ecological Society’s centenary celebrations.

The Race to Discover the Local Biodiversity will take the form of a Bioblitz. A Bioblitz is where you find, indentify and record as many plants and animals in one area as possible.

This event will be held in designated locations across the campus with help from a range of wildlife experts, including The Really Wild Show’s Nick Baker, who will be on hand to help individuals learn about the wealth of wildlife they discover.

Three sessions are planned for the day which will cover four different zones across the campus covering different habitats.

The event is being held on the Streatham Campus. You are encouraged to travel by public transport and sustainable means, but there will be car parking available.

There are lots of green spaces around the campus, ideal for picnics and we encourage you to bring a packed lunch. There are some outlets on campus which will be open if you wish to purchase refreshments.

Please ensure children are accompanied by an adult at all times and please make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear and clothing.
