The Topsham Town Fayre 2014 takes place from Saturday 16 August to Saturday 23 August.

Billed in the programme as having new ideas and fresh energy, this year's program includes some new events including a family fun day featuring The Wild Experience (where you can see and handle wild animals), an Antiques Valuation Evening, and Diamondogz 70s Night (an evening of glam rock in Matthews Hall).

Saturday 16 August
10am - Live jazz from Take A Train, outside Matthews Hall
10am-12noon - fun session at Topsham Pool
7.30pm-11.00pm - Family Disco with DJ Studley at Matthews Hall (tickets from Topsham Stores)
9.00pm - Crowning of the 2014 Topsham Royal Family

Sunday 17 August
2pm-4pm - Topsham Allotments & Garden Society Flower & Vegtable Show (entry forms from Topsham Stores) - presentations at 3.45pm.

1pm-6pm - Family Fun Afternoon at Topsham Rugby Club free entry, Exeter Inn vs Topsham Select XI Cricket Match, music, kids activities, barbecue & bar. The Wild Experience: meet pythons, geckos, bearded dragons, water dragons, a tarantula, owls, red-tailed hawk. Animals can be handled for a small fee. Monday 18 August
6.30pm - Topsham Town Fayre Bingo at Matthews Hall (7.30pm - Eyes Down - 12 games with cash prizes)
7pm - Cheese & Wine Evening at the Malthouse, Globe Hotel (tickets £5 from the Globe).

Tuesday 19 August
10am-12noon - Topsham Museum Coffee Morning (fun, games & stalls - £2 admission including coffee and biscuits
2pm - Town Fayre Dog Show, Matthews Hall Green (or inside if wet) - judging at 2.30pm - see print programme for categories.
7pm for 7.30pm start - Euchre at Exeter Inn
7.30pm - Antiques Valuation Evening (with talk) - Matthews Hall. Tickets £4 - to include one valuation - from Topsham Stores.

Wednesday 20 August
2.30pm-4.30pm - Kids' Cake Decorating Afternoon, Matthews Hall Green (or Council Chamber if wet). All materials provided.
7pm - Topsham Pub-A-Thon. An evening of fun & games around the hostelries of Topsham. Fancy dress encouraged. Teams must be pre-entered and entries are strictly limited (on the basis of previous years, teams are usually already arranged by the time the programme is in print, but you can ask at Topsham Stores) - prize presentation at the Nelson at 10.30pm.

Thursday 21 August
11am - Children's Flower Arranging Competition - the Malthouse Globe Hotel. All materials provided. Organised by Topsham Flower Club - Age groups 0-5yrs, 6-8yrs, 9.12yrs and 13-16yrs.
7.30pm - Town Fayre Quiz, Topsham Rugby Club. Entry fee £18 for team of 6, which must include at least two female members. Entries strictly limited: forms from Topsham Sotres.

Friday 22 August
Diamondogz 70s Night at Matthews Hall. Doors open 8pm for 9pm start. Glam Rock at its best! Tickets £5 from Topsham Stores.

Saturday 23 August - CARNIVAL DAY
10am - Live jazz from Take A Train, outside Matthews Hall
Town Fayre Penny Trail outside Matthews Hall
10am-12noon - fun session at Topsham Pool
2.30pm onwards - Town Criers Competition - Globe Hotel

Carnival timetable:

1.30pm - Fore Street closed for stalls to set up. Food stalls and licensed bar all afternoon and evening
4.30pm - Majorettes Display - outside Matthews Hall
6pm - Carnival Disco with Stuart Priestley - outside Matthews Hall
6.30pm - judging of Carnival entries in Elm Grove Road
7.30pm - Carnival procession starts
9pm-11pm - Live Music & Dancing in the Street with Evolver - outside Matthews Hall
9.45pm - Grand Prize Draw
