Artists-makers whose work references lace:
Saturday 14 September - Sunday 3 November
at Devon Guild of Craftsmen
& Saturday 14 September - Saturday 2 November
at Thelma Hulbert Gallery

A partnership exhibition which challenges preconceived ideas of 'lace'. Straddling both venues intoLACE presents 22 artists overall, who seek to examine the historic uses and values of lace with particular reference to Honiton lace at the Hulbert. Exhibits at the Guild feature fabric-wrapped ceramic, photograms, glass-encased lace, sun-prints through lace, laser-cut paper sculpture and delicate jewellery.

A refreshing take on the historic form of lacemaking exploring what makes lace relevant in today’s contemporary practices and why lace has such an enduring appeal. With lacemaking demos every Saturday & a DIY lace space in the Guild gallery. Specially commissioned site-specific installations will be in-situ at each venue.

FREE. Open daily. 10am-5.30pm
