The Beacons are a four piece indie-rock band hailing from Exmouth. Taking influences from artists such as Two Door Cinema Club, John Frusciante, Alex Clare and Little Comets, the band has created a fresh, exciting sound and their energetic live shows ensure audiences are hooked from start to finish. Relentless touring across the UK has led to the band receiving a great deal of interest from BBC Radio and other radio stations, including interviews, sessions and airplay on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Devon, Exeter FM and GasHouse Radio (Philadelphia, US). Recent support slots alongside Hard-Fi, Billy Bragg, Little Comets, Cosmo Jarvis, and The 1975, plus plays on Channel 4 show, 'Hollyoaks' have also given the band a larger platform on which to perform.

Describing their sound as 'Slaughterhouse Steampunk Blues', The Wattingers lean towards the grimy underbelly of Western Steampunk. Their black sense of humour takes influences from Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Sante Sangre, El Topo, original Night of the Hunter, Cannibal The Musical, and The Child Ballads. Stripped down to the bare bones, their music is inspired by old and not-so-old blues greats, such as Howling Wolf, Killdozer, Joan Baez, Martin Carthy, The Birthday Party, Screaming Jay Hawkins, The Bad Seeds, Gallon Drunk, The Butthole Surfers, the Beasts Of Bourbon, The Kills, Jawbone, Seasick Steve, Tom Waits, and Prison 'Hollers' as recorded by Alan Lomax.
