Roadside to play Mama Stones
Roadside are a five-piece band based in Plymouth, Devon and dedicated to writing, recording and performing gigs for their own unmistakeable brand of Indie music.
They recently played at the Plymouth Volksfest and as well as meeting The Levellers and Hazel O’Connor backstage, they also went on to play in a great festival atmosphere with quality stage sound. The gig was highly charged and Roadside played through an hour-long set of exciting, energetic, melodic and crowd-pleasing originals.
Since releasing their single Give It Up last year, the band have gone from strength to strength, gaining worldwide recognition through social media websites.
They are releasing a new single Disarm in the next month, which was recorded at April Media Productions in Plymouth. They also recently recorded a track that they are going to use as a ‘b side’ to the single called Take Me Under.
Roadside's live recording of Take Me Under is available to watch on youtube on the ‘roadsidetunes’ channel and alongside this article.
Roadside are currently working on a new video to accompany the single, which the band has promised to debut on the Jon Govier's BBC Radio show.
Huw Stephens of Radio 1 is also eagerly awaiting the new release after personally enjoying the Give It Up single, which has also been played oh a host of other radio stations across the country.
Roadside will be playing in most towns and cities across the South West this summer, starting with Mama Stones in Exeter on Thursday 6 June. They are also going to be busy playing festivals across the country. Don't miss out on the chance to see Roadside live.
