Seeing as it's Tuesday why not give yourself a laugh with these humourous Double Barrelled names...

#1 – Looney-Warde

This hapless couple from Oregon were married on 9th July 2005 at the Grand Ballroom in Salem. The question is… did she adopt his double-barrel name or did she insist on creating a surname that will condemn their kids to years of taunting at school? Your guess is as good as ours.

#2 – Best-Lay

Jennifer Lay and William Best from Maryville in Missouri exchanged vows recently at the home of the bride’s parents. It’s quite obvious why Mr Best chose to marry Miss Lay. And it’s also obvious that their future teenage daughter will bear the brunt of some unbearable taunting at school.

#3 – Traylor-Hooker

Having ‘Hooker’ as a surname is bad enough, but of all the men in the world to end up with and she finds a Traylor. But they do say love is blind.

#4 – MacDonald-Berger

Someone from the marketing department of McDonald’s needs to get in touch with this couple and create an advert with a bit of humour. Or least give them a year’s free supply of their Big Macs. Then we might see them on a future episode of Super Size Me.

#5 – Wang-Holder

Miss Wang and Mr Holder from Atlanta, Georgia were probably blissfully unaware of the ridiculousness of their double-barrelled surname shocker. Rumour has it that Brad is now in good hands though.

#6 – Busch-Rash

This happy couple from Pikesville in Maryland were married in the fine traditions of a Roman Catholic Church. They hadn’t been dating for that long and apparently, on the night of the wedding, he was all over her like a…

#7 – Crapp-Beer

This double-barrelled shocker had invitees in two-minds as to whether to attend their evening wedding party. To be fair to Travis and Emily, there was probably lots of wine, cider and spirits on hand to reassure all the doubters.

#8 – Hardy-Harr

Hardy-Harr, Ho-de-Ho! Another happy couple from Maryland, they probably had no idea that their double-barrel surname sounds just like a famous British sitcom from the 1980s called Hi-de-Hi! Oh well, Ho-de-Ho!

#9 – Beaver-Wetter

You don’t need this pun explaining do you? Good. You can understand how invited guests might have misconstrued this as something of a XXX wedding then. The term ‘orthodox wedding’ certainly doesn’t come to mind…

#10 – Filler-Quick

One can only imagine the amount of taunting this couple’s daughter will get at school. That’s assuming of course that she gives birth to a female of the species. We guess it won’t be much longer than 9 months away with his reputation.
