The Exeter & Torquay offices of Bishop Fleming, a leading audit, accounting, tax, and advisory firm, is pleased to announce its partnership with FORCE Cancer Charity as its chosen charity for the next 12 months.

FORCE Cancer Charity, which has a purpose-built Cancer Support and Information Centre, is dedicated to providing best possible support and treatment, face to face and close to home.

Bishop Fleming's decision to support FORCE Cancer Charity reflects its commitment to being a responsible business and making a positive impact in the local community. In collaboration with Business in the Community, Bishop Fleming has developed a structured framework that helps the firm better understand its role and responsibilities in the community. This effort has resulted in its latest re-accreditation of being a Great Place to Work®.

This year, Bishop Fleming, has launched a major new responsible business initiative – 1% for Communities – a pledge to give back 1% of its turnover through impactful, community-focused volunteering, fundraising and related activities.

The partnership with FORCE Cancer Charity will help Bishop Fleming and its employees to engage in meaningful community activities and contribute to a cause that aligns with its ambition and values.

During the partnership, Bishop Fleming plans to raise £12,500 through joint fundraising activities over the next 12 months. These initiatives will include a cream tea event, sponsored dog walk, quiz night, and a netball tournament. The funds raised will directly support FORCE Cancer Charity’s efforts to improve the lives of local cancer patients, their families, and carers.

James Finnegan, Partner at Bishop Fleming, said: "We are delighted to have selected FORCE Cancer Charity as our Charity of the Year. Their unwavering dedication to the local community is truly inspiring, and we are eager to support their vital work. Through our joint fundraising activities, we hope to make a meaningful difference and create lasting change in the lives of those in need."

“We can’t thank Bishop Fleming enough for choosing to support FORCE Cancer Charity this year and we are excited to be working closely with the team over the coming months with their fundraising and support for the charity,” says Oliver Watts, Head of Income Generation at FORCE Cancer Charity. “Their responsible business ethos aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are grateful for their support.”
