Exeter fire: Firm offers office haven
As Exeter reels in shock at the speed and extent of the city centre fire, one business is already opening its doors to stricken companies needing emergency office space.
Bluegrass Computer Services based in Pynes Hill, has stepped forward to offer office facilities including eight desks, chairs and broadband for any businesses affected by the fire.
Bluegrass group chairman David Thomas (pictured above, front row, third from the right) said: ‘We have plenty of space here and would gladly help those affected. We should be able to rustle up some computers and phones as well to help people through what could be a catastrophic time for some firms.
'Exeter is a generous city with a big heart and we want to play our part in helping those less fortunate.
‘This is the moment that many companies will realise that backing up their important data and using cloud storage should be part of their recovery strategy. Sadly it may be too late now for some but we are always happy to advise clients on how to go about this, or manage it for them. But the main thing is to help firms in the short term by giving them somewhere to come and work.'
