Santa Claus is coming to Town
This December, Santa Claus and his elves will be based in the heart of Exeter city centre.
New to Princesshay this year, Santa and some of his elves will have their very own Arctic Adventure on the 1st-2nd December and 8th-9th December 10am-4pm.
Princesshay has transformed the former Hobbs store with snow covered trees and decorations to create a truly authentic Artic Adventure. All the way from the North Pole, Santa’s sleigh will land for family pictures to capture the Christmas magic.
There will also be an opportunity for families to make a snow globe Christmas decoration to take home at no cost.
For those who want to pass on their Christmas wish list, Santa will be waiting in his wooden cabin where children have the chance to meet him and receive a small gift. This part of the experience will cost £4 and all proceeds go to Princesshay’s charity of the year, FORCE.
Princesshay’s Hannah Overton said: “We are so thrilled and excited to host Santa in Princesshay this year. Many Devon residents have to travel afar to see him but now he will be available for a visit in the city centre. Families can turn their Christmas shopping trips into a complete festive experience.”
Oly Watts, Fundraising Development Officer at FORCE Cancer Charity Said. “We are delighted to be part of this magical time. As a local charity we have to raise £1.7 million this year to be able to continue supporting people who are affected by cancer face to face. Donations given to Santa will go some way in helping with this. ”
When visitors leave the store, they will each be given a treasure map store guide. Retailers in Princesshay will be taking part in the treasure map challenge where clues to a riddle will be hidden in shop windows. Shoppers will need to solve the riddle for a chance to win a £250 Princesshay gift card.
The Christmas celebrations kick off on the Sunday 18th November when the Exeter Christmas light switch on is taking place.
Princesshay will be hosting their big screen for everyone able to watch. There will also be offers and celebrations in Princesshay stores.
