Exeter Racecourse sponsorship at Bicton Arena
Exeter Racecourse has announced it is sponsoring at Bicton Arena’s international horse trials which take place in East Devon on August 19 to 21. The racecourse is supporting the prestigious CIC2* which includes a £500 prize to the highest placed seven-year-old horse competing in the class.
Exeter Racecourse hosts 17 race meetings a year and is also a thriving conference and events centre. Located beside the busy A38, novice horses on the cusp of greatness regularly come under starters orders at Exeter. It also hosts the grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup that regularly attracts superstar racehorses.
Bicton Arena is considered the leading equestrian venue in the West Country attracting competitors from all over the UK. It is set in majestic grade one listed parkland and the team is led by professional event rider Helen West.
The racecourse’s general manager Daniel Thompson said: “We are delighted to be supporting such a fantastic venue which plays host to an important competition for the West Country, attracting top level riders from far and wide. We are very much looking forward to attending.”
Organiser Helen West added: “We hope this will be a long and fruitful association with our local racecourse. We all love racing here and Exeter is a super racetrack. We’re looking forward to welcoming Dan and his guests during the horse trials.”
Organisers have added several incentives to encourage riders to compete at the Devon venue. They include free stabling with two free bales of Zebra horse bedding for the international classes which are sponsored by Equine H and Rathbones Investment Management.
Cheffings Equine will provide champagne to the winning owners in each section and in the international classes further prizes are sponsored Gain Horse Feeds, Devoucoux, Horse Heaven and Redpost Equestrian.
