Devon solicitors shine at Law Society awards
Wollen Michelmore Solicitors know just how special it feels to be selected as a national award winner, for the second time this year!
The Law Society’s prestigious Excellence Awards took place at the Hilton, Park Lane in London and the Wollen Michelmore’s Private Client team were awarded the Excellence in Private Client Practice award recognising the team as England and Wales’s industry best.
For those who were present it was a fabulous surprise and an emotional occasion. Katrina Vollentine, Head of the Private Client team said “Putting into words how our team has performed and how hard they’ve worked is hard. I am so very proud to receive this award on behalf of the Private Client team and know how much it means to everyone across the firm. I still find it hard to believe that we’ve won!”
The judges commended the Wollen Michelmore Private Client Team for their “unique approach in trying to understand the conditions of their clients in order to deliver the best service possible. To have such knowledge promotes greater understanding, caring, stand-out and forward thinking.”
“This year we received a record number of nominations for the awards, highlighting the extraordinary commitment of solicitors to serving their clients,” president of the Law Society Joe Egan said.
“Solicitors from every corner of the land were represented, which shows the breadth of quality throughout the profession.
“I want to congratulate all those who work at Wollen Michelmore for their extraordinary efforts and commitment to excellence.”
The 11th annual Law Society Excellence Awards were hosted by BBC’s Mishal Husain and the keynote address was delivered by Court of Appeals judge the Rt Hon Lord Justice Hickinbottom.
In May the Family team were recognised as among the best in the legal profession at the national Solicitors Journal awards held in London.
