Sandy Park flies flag for Exeter at Olympia
VIP rugby weekends in Exeter up for grabs at the meetings show
Sandy Park is doubling in size and will be able to accommodate up to 1000 delegates as from September, so what better time than to fly the flag at next month’s Meetings Show.
Delegates at next month's prestigious Meetings Show in London will have the opportunity to win the ultimate VIP weekend in Exeter as part of the various attractions on offer at the Sandy Park stand.
Representatives from Exeter's award-winning venue will be heading to the capital to fly the flag for the Westcountry at the three-day event which is to be held at London's Olympia.
With Sandy Park currently undergoing an extensive multi-million pound facelift, which includes doubling capacity of all its many facilities, the importance of showcasing the South West's Premier Conference & Events centre to a wider audience has never been more important.
And as part of Sandy Park's plan to catch the eye, they are offering visitors to The Meetings Show the chance to experience Exeter and Devon in all its glory with a unique competition that offers flights, high class accommodation and the chance to see the Exeter Chiefs in action as a star prize.
John Wood, Sarah Precious and Bev Gratton will head up the Sandy Park team who will be looking to attract new clients and organisations to choose Sandy Park and Exeter as the perfect setting for their next major event.
Home to the LV= Cup winning Chiefs Rugby team, Sandy Park - which opened its doors for the first time in 2006 - offers not only state-of-the-art facilities, but the largest multi-configuration venue in the South West for clientele interested in staging events, conferencing, dinners, training, celebrations or even parties.
Offering five main event suites, along with 18 meeting rooms, Sandy Park has a dedicated client operations team on site, as well as its own excellent in-house planning and catering teams, all of whom ensure the space you have is tailored to your individual need.
Positioned within a spin pass of the M5 motorway and Exeter's International Airport, Sandy Park also has terrific transport links to the City Centre itself by both road and rail and was named the Rugby Expo Award winners for 2013, as well as the best match-day experience within the Aviva Premiership.
In the last year alone, Sandy Park - which next year will play host to three Rugby World Cup fixtures - has welcomed over 25,000 conference delegates; served over 13,000 three-course meals and entertained over 200,000 rugby fans. However, those figures are set to increase significantly over the next 12 months as Sandy Park increases in capacity, both inside and outside of the stadium.
Previously hosting dinners from 400 people, this figure will now switch to 600 with corporate meetings rising from 500 to 1000 delegates.
Looking ahead to the event, Sandy Park Sales & Event Manager, Bev Gratton said: "These are very exciting times for all of us and it's vital we spread the message far and wide informing people about the new and improved facilities we have on offer at the new-look Sandy Park.
"With the re-opening of the venue approaching fast on the horizon, we're keen to showcase just how much Sandy Park has been improved and transformed during these multi-million pound works. Doubling our capacity not only gives us so many new options, but it means we can attract even larger events to what is a beautiful part of the country and a unique venue.
"Already we are looking forward to welcoming back a host of top clients, including the prestigious Devon Life Food & Drink Awards; Dream-A-Way Charity Ball; CTC Wholesalers annual trade exhibition and the Westcountry Property Auctions, which features on BBC's Homes Under the Hammer."
