Devon gig for TV and Radio comic
The George Hotel, South Molton (www.georgehotelsouthmolton.co.uk) continues to delight, when it introduces one of the UK’s top comedians, Hal Cruttenden (www.halcruttenden.com), to its North Devon audience on Friday 9th May.
But maybe no such introductions are necessary, as Hal’s is a face which has already been plastered over the TV for some time and it might be easier to list what he has not appeared on!
Recent television appearances have seen him on ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’, ‘Let’s Dance For Comic Relief’, ‘John Bishop’s Only Joking’, ‘Edinburgh Comedy Fest’ and ‘The Royal Variety Performance. Also ‘Comedy Rocks’ and ‘The Rob Brydon Show’, and ‘The Omid Djalili Show’, (for which he wrote numerous sketches); ‘The 11 O’Clock Show’; ‘Comedy Central at the Comedy Store’,‘Brain Candy’; ‘Live at Jongleurs’; ‘The Comedy Store’; ‘The Warehouse’; ‘Carlton Comedy Warehouse’; ‘Most Annoying Couples’; ‘The Deputy Prime Minister’ and more!
He can be frequently heard on the radio with appearances on Radio 5 Live alongside Richard Bacon, Nicky Campbell, Nick Hancock, Victoria Derbyshire and Stephen Nolan; Radio 4’s ‘Act Your Age’, ‘Four at the Store’ and ‘Loose Ends’; Talksport Radio and Radio Ulster’s’ The Blame Game’.
Hal has been nominated for ‘Best Club Act’ at the prestigious Chortle Awards, and this show ‘Tough Luvvie’ is now touring the country after selling out at the Edinburgh Festival. He is also a highly accomplished writer and actor and this year his first sitcom, ‘Hal’ will begin broadcasting on Radio 4.
Cathy Doel, proprietor of The George said: “We do pride ourselves here on bringing our audience the very best acts in their own genre, and securing such an in-demand comedian as Hal Cruttenden is certainly something of a coup.
"Forget having to travel miles to venues such as Bristol, Plymouth or even London – we have the best of the best performing right here in North Devon. And when you bring a party of four, you only pay for three people, so what’s not to like?”
Hal Cruttenden will be appearing at The George,South Molton on Friday 9th May at 8.30pm as part of his 'Tough Luvvie' tour.
Tickets cost £12.00 (4 for 3 if pre booked) and can be purchased from www.wegottickets.com/event/241938
