Live at The George Hotel, South Molton brings another night of hilarity when it features London based comedian Marc Lucero, (www.marclucero.co.uk). This guy has already made a huge impact in the capital, with his show 'George Carlin Saved My Life’  recently selling out at the Leicester Square Theatre.

Marc Lucero is an older dad struggling to come to terms with life in the 21st century. Technology, marriage and organic living all come under scrutiny as he questions the absurdities of everyday living, but skillfully avoids falling into the trap of easy rants, leaving the audience with some great, thought provoking material.

He is the proud antithesis of the current crop of skinny jeaned, bright young things currently invading our TVs and airwaves. The former market trader didn’t even start to perform comedy until he was in his forties and it is his fifties that he has come to the fore. So why the tour’s name? George Carlin’s is top a stand-up comedian who Marc saw perform in the States and it was this eureka moment, which changed his life.

Marc has just returned from sell out dates at Dave’s TV where he premiered his new show. He won Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival Silver Comedian of the Year 2013 and has recently been heard on Radio 4’s Midweek programme with Libby Purves and on BBC London’s Robert Elms show.

Cathy Doel, proprietor of The George said: “Our London talent scouts saw this guy and were very impressed. I subsequently I watched a clip of him and just couldn’t stop laughing, both at the time and when I remembered the set afterwards! I agree that Marc has the talent and the material of a top comic which should mean that he becomes a big name in TV comedy PQD. We are delighted that he will appear Live@The George hard on the heels of a gig at London’s Soho Comedy Club – there tickets would be £16.50, but here a group of four friends can come for just £9each if pre booked. It’s got to be top quality comedy and a great value night out”

“A laugh a minute” The Times

“…the brilliant Marc Lucero” Daily Mirror

“Lucero certainly has the comic instincts and high-quality material that would shame many a more successful act. So do yourself a favour, and seek him out’ Steve Bennett, Chortle 2006

"Marc Lucero was on fire, he ended his set on a complete high so that we went into the second interval still howling with laughter" Chris Sparkle, Comedy Reviewer, Royal Derngate Theatre.

George Carlin Saved My Life, with support Chris Norton-Walker, will take place at 8.30 pm on Friday 13 June. Tickets £12.00 (4 for 3 if pre booked)
