Exeter Chiefs' close shave for Movember
Exeter Chiefs are hoping to kick their opponents into touch by growing the best face furniture for Movember – so they popped into Lugets of Exeter last week to make sure their taches were trimmed and ready for inspection.
Lugets - the gentlemen’s outfitters and tailors on Cathedral Green - has devoted the whole month to raising money for charity in the name of Movember and last week it turned its store into a barber’s shop thanks to professional barber, Mark Gaughan, from the Groom Room in Torquay.
Mark was on hand to help Chiefs, including Luke Cowan-Dickie, Dave Lewis, Jack Yeandle and England International Jack Nowell finish this particular “tache growing season” on a high. Mark also trimmed the taches of customers who all made a donation to Movember which raises cash for men’s health charities.
Lugets’ owner Mark Simpson said: “The Chiefs are participating in Aviva Premiership Rugby’s Movember fundraising competition, competing against fellow Premiership clubs to see which team will raise the most amount of money for the Movember charity. The Exeter players took the opportunity to get ahead of the game by having their moustaches tweaked in Lugets’ front window and we were delighted to help.”
