It’s an OBE for Caroline!

Chief Executive of local adoption charity Families for Children Caroline Davis will receive her OBE from Queen at Buckingham Palace today (Friday). 

Caroline was awarded the honour in the New Year for her services to children and families in the south-west.  

Caroline has been Chief Executive of Families for Children Adoption Agency based in Buckfastleigh for 22 years and during that time has helped to place over 500 children for adoption.

Caroline said “I was very excited to receive my OBE today.  It comes at a very exciting time for Families for Children as we are about to expand our adoption services across the region. 

"We currently aim to place around 50 children with adopted families. As a result of our expansion we hope to raise our adoption placements 50% to 2016 plus grow our adoption support services sat the same time.  I am proud of all my staff at the charity and look forward to sharing my award with them.”

The charity is supported by a number of well-known celebrities.

Actress Caroline Quentin who is Patron of the charity says: “Caroline is an inspiration and a wonderful woman, she's fun too - a perfect combination.”
