A motorbike ride with a special chocolatey difference will take place on Easter Sunday this year – and YOU could be part of it.

The riders will be delivering chocolate Easter eggs to youngsters with life-limiting illnesses at the South West Children’s Hospice.

So why not join 'Exeter Based Motorcycle Rides' for a ride to remember? This amazing ride will take place on Easter Sunday 5 April, meeting at Bridge Motorcycles, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8RG. Be ready to leave at 10.30am. To join in just turn up on two wheels (or three for trikes!) with a full tank of fuel and make sure you bring chocolate eggs!

Everyone will leave Bridge Motorcycles and go on a scenic ride to Little Bridge House, South West Children's Hospice near Winkleigh. Once there you can hand over your eggs to the children. The hospice will accept any extra gifts and donations you may want to give on the day.

There will be a stop at a cafe on the way there and on the way back so you can get a hot drink and food if needed.

The Exeter Based Motorcycle Rides Facebook page is not affiliated to or part of any group, patch or other motorbike club or organisation. Everyone is welcome no matter what type of motorbike or rider you are, all routes are suitable for 125cc bikes who can't go on motorways.

For more information e-mail exeterbmr@outlook.com or have a look at the Exeter Based Motorcycle Rides Facebook page and the events part, or call 07834 240366.

Carla O'Reilly, organiser of the Facebook page and the ride, said: "I set up the Facebook page for motorbikers in and around Exeter to meet and ride with like minded people. It's been more popular than I'd ever imagined, there are nearly 500 members and it's only been going since the first Easter egg ride out last year! Get on your motorbike, bring eggs, chocolate ones not chicken ones, and see the smiles on the childrens faces when we turn up. Their smiles last year were priceless. We hope to see you there!"
