NatWest team tackle Three Peaks Challenge
Three mountains hiked, 49,000 steps walked and 2865 metres climbed to raise money for St Loye’s Foundation.
On the 12th of September NatWest Devon Commercial Banking tackled the Welsh Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for their charity of the year, St Loye’s Foundation.
The NatWest team of 10 set off at 6am to climb Snowdon, the first and highest mountain of the Welsh Three Peaks. Taking on wind and rain the team completed the next two peaks finishing the challenge at 7.30pm.
Stephanie Tedstone, Senior Relationship Manager at NatWest Devon Commercial Banking, said: “It was a really good event, but hard work! We started climbing Snowdon at 6am in the dark and torrential rain so we were all soaked through. It had stopped raining by the time we got to Cadair Idris and the sun had even come out at Pen y Fan for our finish!”
Louise Jones, Corporate and Trust Fundraiser at St Loye’s, said: “NatWest Devon Commercial Banking have challenged themselves immensely with taking on the three-peaks, especially with the horrendous weather they encountered along the way! St Loye’s is so grateful for their efforts and yet again, their dedication to fundraising for us is fabulous and shows how committed a team they are.”
To date, the NatWest team have raised over £2,000; this money will help St Loye’s Foundation transform the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people.
