Tis positive despite defeat
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale highlighted the positive aspects of his side's play, despite losing 2-0 to Plymouth Argyle.
The Devon derby at St James Park saw City go down to first half goals from Graham Carey and Paul-Arnold Garita, in match where the Grecians hit the post through Lee Holmes and Robbie Simpson saw a first half header fly just over the crossbar.
Despite City's best efforts through the likes of Holmes, who returned from injury, as well as the impressive Jack Stacey at right back, they weren't able to break a resolute Pilgrims defence.
On the defeat Tis, said: “I was pleased with how my players played. But it hasn’t manifested itself in a result, which seems to be the trend of our recent games.
“I was very proud of them, they certainly believed in each other, but our achilles heel has been an unsettled back four over the past month, and we got undone by two goals through the middle of the field and that was the difference between the sides today.
“You’ve got to score more than the opposition, that’s the bottom line.”
