A Sing and Smile charity that is brightening the lives of older people across England and Wales wants to find a leader who is Exeter-based.

Golden-Oldies started in Bath 10 years ago with its fun popular daytime singing and activity sessions in community rooms led by founder Grenville Jones.

More fondly referred to as ‘Goldies’, it now has over 150 sessions attended by thousands of older people. The Patron is Sir Cliff Richard and the new sessions in Exeter are supported by the City Council.

Grenville Jones said: “We are ready to start sessions at sheltered housing community rooms in Exeter but need to find someone in the city who would love to take our charity forward. You certainly don’t have to be a choir leader, but a strong voice and BIG personality would definitely help. If you would like to know more, please contact me on 01761 472468.”
