Raising a toast to the South West’s finest
The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year from the 26-28 April. To celebrate Michael Caines, Festival Co-Founder met with a selection of Festival producers to raise a toast to a decade of celebrating the very best of South West produce.
South West producers Luscombe, Kenniford Farm, Quickes and Salcombe Dairy raised a glass of Devon’s finest Luscombe lemonade with a slice of Festival anniversary cake courtesy of Cakeadoodledo to celebrate the achievements of the Festival over the last ten years.
Michael Caines, Exeter Festival co-founder said: “We are proud to be celebrating 10 years as one of the UK’s finest Food Festivals. Many of the exhibitors and visitors have been attending every year since it first started and we look forward to welcoming them, and some new faces, for many more years to come. We hope that everyone will join the producers and chefs to take in the festival spirit and celebrate South West food and drink as part of this region’s culture and way of life.”
The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is the South West’s ultimate foodie event. Visitors will discover world-class West Country produce and have the chance to buy from over a hundred of the South West’s best artisan food producers, get inspiration and tips from acclaimed chefs in the cookery theatre, learn new skills at workshops and master classes and get hands-on with food in the Darts Farm Food is Fun teepees. Young food fans can also have fun in the Little Cookies area.

Fact File: Over the last ten years, the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink has:
- Welcomed over 150,000 food lovers through the Festival gates;
- Showcased over 1,000 South West food & drink exhibitors selling delicious produce from vegetables to lamb, beef & rare-breed pork, sustainable seafood, cheese, jam, cakes, chocolate, fudge, cider and wine and local real ale;
- Entertained aspiring food fans and budding chefs at over 1,200 children’s workshops, demonstrations and activities;
