New year promotion for DASLS award winner

It was anything but the January blues for The Family Law Company’s Gemma Sparks, who was promoted to Senior Associate on the first day of the new year.

Gemma joined the company in 2009, specifically to concentrate on her preferred area of law. As well as being experienced in the wider elements of family law, she has particular expertise in acting on behalf of clients in areas of private law children and domestic abuse.

Business Development Director and Head of the Divorce and Finance Team, Rachel Buckley said: “Gemma has proved to be an invaluable member of our team and I am delighted to announce her promotion to Senior Associate.

“Her dedication and enthusiasm for her work is coupled with an attention to detail and a superb manner with clients. She is a real asset to The Family Law Company.”

In 2017, Gemma was the recipient of a prestigious DASLS award, being recognised for utilising her personal experiences to offer a unique understanding of family law issues, along with undertaking initiatives aimed at helping disadvantaged clients including training in British Sign Language and helping to set up a free legal clinic at Cranbrook.
