Iron Bridge in Exeter will be closed next week for routine maintenance to be carried out.

The road will be closed between Paul Street and Dinham Road from Monday 29 January until Friday 2 February to enable new width restriction bollards and signs to be installed.

The bridge deck will also be inspected during the closure with trial holes being excavated in order to inform future improvement work to the structure and its drainage.

Access to adjacent businesses will be maintained throughout the closure, as will pedestrian access across the bridge.

A signed diversion will be in place via Paul Street, Queen Street, New North Road, Hele Road, St Davids Hill and vice versa.
