With statistics indicating that work-related mental health conditions are slowly taking over from reports of physical injuries in the construction industry, RGB Building Supplies is inviting projects that offer mental health support to apply for £1,000 worth of building materials as part of its Well Built Community Fund.

Whether charities and groups in the local area want to use the materials to create a dedicated area for treatment, or would like supplies to give those receiving support the opportunity to take on small DIY projects to help create a healthy mind, RGB would like to hear about it.

From all the nominations received, three finalists will be chosen and there will be a public vote to decide who will receive the £1,000 donation.

Paul West, Branch Manager at RGB Exeter, commented: “Our Well Built Community Fund allows us to give something back to the communities that have enabled us to successfully trade for over 165 years. In our region there are so many fantastic groups that support those who are struggling with their mental health, so for our next Community Fund we want to hear from them with details about how we can help them complete a project.”

To apply, groups simply need to contact RGB explaining how £1,000 to spend at an RGB branch would be of benefit to them. Nominations can be made by email to RGB@pmwcom.co.uk or by post to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU.  The closing date for nominations is Sunday 27th January.
