E.ON invites Exeter youth football teams to add power to their kicks with competition to win a new team kit

Energy company E.ON is offering under 13 football teams in Exeter the chance to get themselves kitted out for free with the launch of its new ‘Power Kicks’ competition. Winning teams will receive 15 full youth kits in sizes and colours of their choosing. This new scheme is part of E.ON’s commitment to supporting the communities where many of its customers live and its employees work. On Thursday 19 October, arts venue and charity, Exeter Phoenix, will launch the You Make Exeter Phoenix fundraising appeal to raise £60,000 for major refurbishments.

West Country accountants and financial planners Old Mill have moved up five places in Accountancy Age’s Top 50+50, reflecting the fact that they had another highly successful year. Two randomly selected Devon teachers attending this year’s Farmwise Devon event at Westpoint, Exeter, have won free places to take part in the campaign's first teacher training programme on food and farming.

An on-call firefighter at Danes Castle will be taking part in the Trans-America Bike Race in June 2018 to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity and Wooden Spoon Devon.

The race involves cycling 4,300 miles across 10 US states in around a month.
