A total of 40 people attended the Trust’s latest recruitment open day at Tiverton and District Hospital on Monday 23 March, 15 of whom were offered jobs following an interview on the day.

It follows a similarly successful open day at NDDH the previous Monday...

Chiefs snatch losing bonus point

Just how important this losing bonus point might be we won’t know for a few weeks yet, but the fact Exeter Chiefs salvaged something from a tough afternoon in the East Midlands could be quite telling in the grand scheme of things.

With time all but up, it appeared Rob Baxter’s side were going to head home from their latest trek to the East Midlands with little more than a muddy shirt and a heap of ‘if only’s’ to contemplate.

Thankfully, the Chiefs never know when they are beaten and in one last hurrah – or should I say – one last push of defiance, they won a successful...

Exeter City settle for a draw, again

Match report: Exeter City 1 Morecambe 1

Alex Nicholls cancelled out Aaron McGowan’s opener as the Grecians played out a 1-1 draw with Morecambe at St James Park.

The Shrimps’ goal came against the run of play after a quarter of an hour, and Nicholls’ equaliser – controlling a Tom Nichols cross and firing in – came ten minutes from time.

However Nichols received his marching orders in the game’s last action after an exasperated swing of his foot caught an opposition player.

Four changes were made to the Exeter City line-up that saw off Cheltenham at Whaddon...

Cranbrook community star in short film

A short film commissioned by East Devon District Council charting the development of Cranbrook has been released.

Recording took place when the community came together to celebrate ‘Cranbrook Day’ on 29 June last year, an event that included consultation undertaken by East Devon Volunteer Support Agency (EDVSA), to find out what residents would like to see in the Cranbrook of the future.

The film shows that while bricks and mortar build a new town, it is the people that make a place. Work started in June 2011 and now Cranbrook has almost 1,000 occupied homes, making an...
