Exeter Northcott Theatre has announced an exciting collaboration with the University of Exeter Drama Department and Arts & Culture team to present RAW: Emerging Arts Platform.

In a new initiative from the two organisations, RAW is a platform for emerging choreographers, live artists and playwrights. It is an opportunity for Exeter Drama graduates to show exciting new work to a range of audiences, professional artists, programmers and organisation representatives; a place to share knowledge, skills and ideas.

Outgoing Chairman Councillor Jerry Brook handed over to the Council's new Chairman, Councillor Bernard Hughes OBE at the Full Council meeting.

Councillor Hughes OBE, local member for Exmouth Halsdon and Woodbury for the past 16 years, has served on many of the Council's Committees, and has a long term connection to the Devon and Somerset fire and rescue authority.

Libraries across Devon are encouraging residents to ‘think differently’ this month as part of a project to inspire creativity.

Devon County Council, Torbay Council and contractor Galliford Try have unveiled the new website www.southdevonlinkroad.co.uk - it has a fresh new look and includes the latest updates, maps, news and useful documents.

It also includes images of how construction is progressing and a timeline of activity.

Following the huge success of last weekend’s Respect Festival in Exeter, which was attended by 22,500 people, Exeter City is backing the annual One Game One Community tournament, which celebrates diversity in the local community, on Sunday 9 June 2013.

The competition, now in its ninth year, encourages participation from local black and minority ethnic teams and attracts players from many different parts of the world. Past winners include sides representing Poland, Slovakia, Afghanistan and Lithuania.
