Line Up is an exhibition of contemporary hand-made objects, curated by interior stylist and author Sania Pell. First on show at London’s Flow gallery, the exhibition has now reached Devon, and reveals the art of interior design as seen in magazines such as Wallpaper and Elle Decoration.
Inspiration for the show derived from the collections at Kettle’s Yard historic house and gallery (Cambridge), where curator Jim Ede integrated his own art and craft collections into the setting of his domestic home. Artwork produced by year 7 Exeter School pupils last summer is currently on display in the newly reopened Truffles Bistro and Pizzeria on Magdalen Road in Exeter.
The walls of the café are adorned with vibrant mixed media monoprints of Exeter Cathedral inspired by artist John Piper. Truffles Bistro is open Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm and the Pizzeria is open from 6.30 - 9.pm on Tuesday and Saturday evenings.

Spacex artist and independent curator Trevor Pitt is setting up Preston Street Union – PSU; an affiliation of artists from in and around Exeter that will come together over a five week period to explore collaboration as a strategy for artists. The event will take place from 13 October – 7 November 2015.
Educational charity Spacex works with artists and curators to enable access to contemporary visual art in the South West through a programme of projects and events that invite public participation and critical debate.

Ottery St Mary-based artist, Abi Whitlock, is celebrating the successful sale of her first artwork through online art marketplace, Artfinder, just days after she joined the site.
The 23 year old whose application to sell on the site was approved on Saturday 5 September, sold one of her hyper-real acrylic paintings, ‘Adrift’ to a customer in Illinois on Monday 7 September for the list price of £3,400.
Abi has only recently committed to her art full time, recently moving to Devon with family after graduating from catering college.
