A fascinating and unusual new artwork has been added to the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, in the form of a sculpture wound around the branch of a tree and suspended in mid-air. The sculpture, entitled White Entwined, was created by Devon artist Deborah Duffin. Organic in shape, it hangs from the tree like huge exotic flower, fading from pink to white and is made from a multitude of wire collected over many years. Exciting new arts project fund for Exeter

Arts and voluntary organisations in Exeter are being invited to apply for a share of a new Arts Project Fund.

Bidding for the Fund will begin on 9 December and will be aimed at supporting one-off Exeter-based arts projects taking place during 2015/16.

Grants between £1,500 and £10,000 will be available and priority areas of funding in 2015/16 are:

• Festival of Rugby events • Community festivals • Art Form festivals • Partnerships between artists and communities

Art-lovers are lining up to be part of an exciting new project that sees Exeter and its people taking a starring role in a series of artworks.

The project – TOPOS – is taking over an empty city-centre office space and through its crowdfunding campaign offers the opportunity to be part of a living landscape – digital recreations of famous landscapes - or even to commission an original piece of art.

The exhibition takes its direction from Common Ground, a Dorset charity who explored the relationship between nature and culture through areas such as music, sculpture, poetry and film.
